Compatibility
Synology first, with explicit limits.
V1.0 compatibility uses DSM 6/7 profiles and conservative fallback behavior when a version or capability is unknown.

NAS
Synology is the V1.0 target. Metric availability depends on the model, DSM, and exposed capabilities.
Network
LAN and private Tailscale routes are supported by the validated design. A generic VPN without a usable private route is reported as unavailable.
Telemetry
SNMP values are normalized. Missing information remains distinct from a healthy state, and protocol detail is not required for everyday use.
